The Sudanese authorities on Wednesday announced it officially removed ban on Egyptian commodities, Sudanese Media Center reported.
“Individuals and companies are now free to import commodities and goods from Egypt provided fulfillment of trade registry regulations”, undersecretary of Sudan’s ministry of Industry and Trade was quoted as saying.
He said if commodities and goods don’t match with Sudanese standards and health conditions they will be banned from entering the country, the official stressed.
There was a presidential decision on October 2018 lifting ban on Egyptian goods
On September 2016 Sudan imposed a temporarily ban on vegetables and fruits coming from Egypt citing health risks and subjected them for more laboratorial examinations
Later, the Sudanese Cabinet announced a final decision banning import of Egyptian agricultural products including seeds and seedlings
